Thanks to the San Francisco Aquarium of the Bay Foundation for their initial funding of the Seven Gill study with U.C Davis researcher Dr. Michele Buckhorn.

Thanks to local  Fishermen Steve Shirley and Dave Frankel of Team Fishfinders for donating their time, vessel use and expertise to continue the study in 2008 and 2009.

Our 2010 research has been supported by volunteers and with a small grant by Dr. John McCosker of the California Academy of Sciences.  The eventual goals of the Shark Program is to study the population size and relationships of all elasmobranchs in the San Francisco Bay.
